Not exactly the kind of switches you'd use on a regular basis anyway, but my goal is to be able to use VR as much as possible. One example of a switch I can't seem to make work no matter which method I tried is the "Bus Tie" switch and I believe enabling external power didn't work either. Couldn't detect a rhyme or reason to it so it just was some experimenting to figure out how each button should be programmed for it to always work no matter which view you're in. Sometimes when defined by clicking in the popup panel does end up working correctly and the VC itself shows the action. What I mean by that is, if I define a macro by clicking in the VC, it doesn't always end up working and in the popup panel (SHIFT+) there is no corresponding action. They don't always work correctly depending how they were defined. Other buttons need to be setup for either the popup-panel or in the VC itself, some both. This appears to be true for both the popup panel (SHIFT+3) and "looking up" in the Virtual Cockpit. The clicks are registered by FSUIPC but when using the "Tab" key to test them or assign to a joystick button doesn't end up actually doing anything. I wasn't able to get a few of the square/flat buttons to work when I tried it last night.

If you're having issues, try writing down the exact steps you take (each button/tab/area you click on from start to finish) so they can be reproduced and find out where things go wrong. Once the macros themselves are created and you've clicked the "End Macro" button, you can then assign this new macro to an actual joystick button on that same "Buttons" tab. FSUIPC was installed in the \Modules\ folder and underneath there should be the "FSUIPC Documents\FSUIPC5 User Guide.pdf" the section you're looking for is on pages 31 and 32. Not sure which sim and fsuipc versions you use, so things might be different for you. There is a Mouse Macros section that explains it all.
Fsuipc prepar3d v4 manual#
I do recommend read through the manual that fsuipc provides. I'm by no means an expert but I incidentally got the registered version of FSUIPC yesterday and setup a few macros to switches to my joystick.

I thought it was simple to do without having to write Zimmer, I’m not the best when it comes to technical or coding.
